Business Description

Premise Technical Services includes the following departments; Administrative services, Construction Services, Government Services with our primary focus on the Government Services department at this time. Premise Technical Services was started when the founder discovered an opportunity to make use of extensive skills and experience in construction documentation and management, computer administration and data management, and facilities data management. At the same time, this opportunity afforded the founder the means to meet several specific personal goals, including control of personal work schedules and making a contribution the readiness of Army National Guard and contribute to better business practices in the construction industry in the local community.

The business was initially introduced as a concept before the actual business was launched. The concept was received warmly. As this service concept originated out of a recognized need in National Guard Bureau where the founder was associated as part of the National Guard, working as a State of Georgia employee and reserve member of the National Guard. Through conversations with upper management at the National Guard Bureau it was determined the company presently supplying contractor support is not attentive to contract requirements, therefore the bureau’s level of receptivity was positive to the Premise Technical Services proposal. The initial meeting led to a request to bid for the contract for services for the coming year

With competent accounting and tax advice, Premise Technical Services will be established as a sole proprietorship with Thomas G. Quarterman as proprietor. This business structure will afford Premise Technical Services opportunities for growth. Depending on actual business growth and expansion, Premise Technical Services may transition to an S Corporation for the advantages of that business structure.
